This Privacy Policy explains how Concentric Solutions Group LLC d/b/a tab. ("tab.", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information. It applies to the tab. app and website (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
From people who create an account ("Users"):
- Account & profile: display name, @handle, email, phone number, optional
profile photo, and your chosen payment handles (Venmo, Cash App).
- Content you create: Tabs you file, amounts, reasons, attached evidence
(photos/receipts), messages, ratings, and reactions.
- Usage & device data: app interactions, device identifiers, push tokens,
IP address, and diagnostic logs.
- Purchases: subscription status (processed by Apple and RevenueCat; we do
not receive your full payment-card details).
About people named in a Tab ("Named Persons") — who may not be Users:
- The name and, if you provide it, the phone number you enter, the claimed
amount, the reason, and any evidence you attach.
> We rely on the User who files a Tab to have a lawful, good-faith basis for > providing information about a Named Person. Users must comply with our Terms.
2. How we use information
- To operate the Service: create accounts, display and route Tabs, send the
named person a private response window, and enable settlement.
- To send notifications and (only with consent) SMS reminders.
- To provide tab. Pro features, ratings/reputation, and search.
- To moderate content, investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with law.
- To secure, debug, and improve the Service.
Lawful bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR applies): performance of a contract (for Users), your consent (e.g., SMS, optional reputation features), and our legitimate interests in operating a claims/settlement platform — balanced against the rights of Named Persons, who can object and request erasure (Section 6).
No artificial intelligence or automated decision-making. tab. does not use artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, large language models, or automated decision-making to process your personal information, generate content, or make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Tabs, ratings, and reputation are based solely on information that users submit and on simple, non-AI calculations (for example, summing amounts). We do not use your data to train any AI model.
3. How information becomes visible to others
- During a Tab's private response window, only you and the named person can
see it.
- If a Tab is not resolved, it may be added to the public ledger and be
searchable by name or @handle. We do not display phone numbers publicly.
- Tabs are shown as claims, not verified facts.
- Ratings/reputation features are opt-in for registered Users.
4. How we share information
We share information with:
- Service providers / processors: Supabase (hosting, database, storage),
RevenueCat (subscriptions), Apple (push, payments), Twilio (SMS, only for consented messages), Resend (email). They process data on our behalf under contract.
- Other users, as described in Section 3.
- Law enforcement / legal: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for
cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Data retention
We keep account and content data while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Settled or removed Tabs may be deleted or de-identified. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (e.g., GDPR/UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights — including if you are a Named Person who wants a claim about you reviewed or removed — use the in-app "This is about me" flow or email hello@thetab.io. We will verify and respond within the time required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
You can also: turn off push/SMS in settings, edit or delete your profile, and delete your account at any time.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
tab. is not directed to children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. International transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy; material changes will be posted with a new "Last updated" date and, where required, additional notice.
